Having Peace and helping your body

Hi Everyone,
My name is Dr. Jennifer Webb. I am an oncologist who specializes in helping women. I live in the Detroit area and treat breast cancer patients. My heart goes out to so many people, because I see a lot of things that people can do to help themselves feel better, prevent disease and look better. I decided to start this blog and today is my first entry. I hope someone finds it and is helped by it.

Not all my blogs will be about oncology related things. I want to help people in so many areas , so I am going to take a chance and see how this works out, so here goes....

If you want to do something that will really help you feel better, you should try a Yoga class. I went to the Center for Yoga in Birmingham, Michigan and took my first class today. OMG, I can not tell you how much better I felt. I had so much peace when I left and I believe I got a better work out than with my trainer at the gym. You need to break a sweat everyday to get rid of toxins in your body - the instructor told us the heat we were generating was getting rid of built up toxins ,helping our organs to function better and increasing our metabolism. I can not wait to get back there, I have not felt that good and that peaceful in a long time!

My mother used to take Yoga classes in the 70's . I can see why. My mom was wise.

So do yourself a favor and see if yoga is for you.
