Mother's Day

God gave me the most kind hearted, tender hearted, loving, beautiful, sweet, sensitive, giving and forgiving mom in the world. If I could only be a fraction of what she was, I will have done very well. She loved everyone. She was hospitable.

She was not selfish...she didn't have a selfish bone in her body. She made our house the kind of home that not only we wanted to be there , but all our friends wanted to be there. In college our friends would come home for the weekend and stay with us, rather than going to their own homes.

She cooked and baked, she smiled and patted, she joked and laughed, she worked and worked. I never saw her in the bed in the morning....not one time, while I was growing up. She knitted our sweaters, sewed our clothes ,knitted our slippers, she made bread, she made her own soap(!), she cooked roasts and hams in the middle of the week, she made cakes, and pies from scratch...she made donuts ( how do you like her now?)

She made peace, she made up, she made nice....she laid down her life for us. She never complained, she was never loud, she never brawled or argued....we didn't have to hear stories about how her back hurt or she how she was tired. Her spirit was sweet. She was gentle, humble, meek, kind, good, faithful, peaceful, faithful, and full of self control.

She didn't complain about the details of bringing us into the world(childbirth). She didn't backbite, she didn't gossip, she didn't talk about people, she didn't have malice. She didn't manipulate, she didn't control, she didn't connive, she didn't lie. She did what was right, no matter the consequences, no matter the price. She keep her word, no matter how tired, no matter how hard, no matter if was inconvenient, no matter what was going on.

She didn't realize she was pretty, even though she was gorgeous. She focused not on herself m but on others, she helped others, she built others up, she comforted others.

I know God really loves me,and my sisters because He could have put me in any family, but He chose to put me in the lap of Marion Stewart Webb. Thank you God. Happy Mother's Day, Mom. I love you very much.

Thats all for now,
Peace to you,
Dr. Jennifer Webb
